AC Self-Maintenance Tips
AC system maintenance doesn’t end when our team walks out the door. It’s a season-long job we encourage you to take part in…for your own sake.
- If your home suddenly becomes too hot or cold, check the thermostat. Someone may have accidentally changed the setting.
- Regularly clean (or replace) your filter. Otherwise, it will clog up with dust and dirt and that only makes your system work harder to keep you cool. Over time, that added wear and tear will result in more repairs and a shorter system lifespan.
- Keep weeds and shrubs away from the outdoor unit. It needs plenty of room to vent the heat it’s removing from your house.
- Indoors, keep clothing, furniture, window treatments and other obstructions away from vents and registers.
